    Job Description

    Customer Experience Manager (CEM) is responsible for carrying out all key inspections with the customers from Pre Completion Visits / New Home Demonstrations through to the end of the 2 year warranty. The CEM acts as the customers’ key point of contact in the Customer Journey. Being the voice of the customer, including promotion of the 8 week and 9 month customer satisfaction survey and improvement of build quality and service after scores. CEM to coordinate the completion of any defects raised by customers and ensure these are completed in line with our SLA timescales.

    • Ensuring the customer receives a positive experience, which includes their environment as well as their home

    • Carry out the pre completion / new home demonstration

    • Carry out 2 week visit with the customer

    • Carry out 4 week inspection with the customer

    • Ensure the Statement of Incomplete Works is completed and updated weekly by the Site Team

    • Management of Contractors & Customer Service Operatives

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare accurate cost estimates for all construction elements, including abnormals, preliminaries, professional fees, site management and prime costs.

    • Maintain and update estimating databases, development appraisals, viabilities, and master cost plans.

    • Provide cost input for land purchase exercises and prepare Group viability assessments for all acquisitions.

    • Support value-engineering during appraisal and pre-start stages, ensuring developments achieve a viable final cost position.

    • Produce detailed pre-start appraisals following planning consent and track cost movements through to site commencement.

    • Update appraisals quarterly for all sites not yet under construction to reflect current layouts, house types, and market conditions.

    • Liaise with internal departments to coordinate development costs and support informed decision-making.

    • Monitor, reconcile, and recharge shared cost items with Group companies or external partners.

    • Attend pre-start, design, specification, and other relevant meetings as required.

    • Complete all estimating work accurately, reporting any significant changes in prime costs from land acquisition through to site start.

    Essential experience:

    • Experience in Estimating working on residential developments

    • Suitable backgrounds: residential developer, PLC housebuilder, PQS firm, main contractor, groundworks contractor, housing association

    Job description

    ‍The Engineer will oversee the design and delivery of infrastructure and groundworks packages for residential developments. Working closely with external consultants, statutory bodies, and the internal Technical Team, you will ensure designs are compliant, cost‑effective, and aligned with programme requirements.

    • ‍Procure service records and manage utilities enquiries for new developments, ensuring timely payment and coordination of new infrastructure.

    • Oversee external Consulting Engineers producing designs for foundations, estate roads, sewers, and all external works, including S38, S104, and S278 submissions.

    • Secure adoption agreements (S38, S104, S278) in line with programme milestones, ensuring bonds are arranged, monitored, reduced, and closed out efficiently.

    • Contribute to structural design requirements for superstructure elements.

    • Conduct ongoing evaluation and peer review of consultant designs to ensure best‑value engineering and statutory compliance.

    • Liaise with the wider Technical Team to support the discharge of planning conditions and building regulations.

    Essential experience

    • ‍ HNC/HND (or equivalent) in an Engineering‑related discipline with around 5 years’ experience.

    • Background in civil or structural design, ideally within a consulting engineering environment.

    • Strong coordination and communication skills, with confidence dealing with statutory bodies (e.g., sewerage undertakers, highway authorities).

    • Proficient with engineering design software, particularly Autodesk; PDS or MicroDrainage experience beneficial
